A blogger over at Creative Deduction makes very clear why libertarians ought to leave virtue signalling to the left. It is advise that would especially serve the weak-kneed lillies over at organizations like Reason, Cato and others that try to play footie with mainstream progressive sentiment in order to come across as “reasonable” (hint: libertarianism will never be regarded as reasonable by inveterate statists of the left and right, no matter how politically correct you are.)
Official statistics from the Pew Research Center have made clear that a larger percentage of Democrats than Republican have problems accepting the political views of those different from themselves.
Of those, more women than men have such difficulties. The conclusion is thus that according to official research, not only are those on the left more intolerant about different political views than the right, but that women are more intolerant about different political views than men.
Any notion of the left, and to go a layer deeper, of leftist women, being “tolerant,” open to “diversity,” being “inclusive,” and being less “judgmental,” as opposed to what they see as their political opponents on the right can now safely be put to bed. Continue Reading
Of course, to a certain degree an alliance between the left and Islam has been the reality for quite some time. But it certainly seems to become ever more blatant, to the point where they are not so much bound by having the same opposition (the enemy of my enemy is my friend), as they are in their own shared goals. We already know that the “Women’s March” was organized by, among others, a muslim women who is pro-Sharia law and has had ties with Hamas.
But it could have been argued that many protester simply were unaware of the ties of radical muslims to the Women’s march.
No more. Continue Reading
Two brilliant podcasts (except for leftists, of course) by Trump-sympathizing Voluntaryist Stefan Molyneux. One recapping eight horrible years of President Barack Obama. The other about the anti-Trump riots the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
If you have the time, it really drives the point home to watch them concurrently.
Intimidation, demonization, violence, riots, destruction… These are behaviors that – in the political sense – tend to be indulged in overwhelmingly by the left. Psychologically, the left is incapable of dealing with political setbacks; of simply not getting their way. This despite constantly promoting the virtues of “diversity,” “tolerance,” and “dialogue.” Continue Reading
Note: the below opinion piece is not aimed at decent, humble progressive liberals who accept the consequences of Hillary Clinton being the Democratic candidate. It is aimed at those on the left – a substantial number of people i would classify as the Hard Left – who wouldn’t know hypocrisy if it sat on their faces; who think the rules do not apply to their camp; who believe society should be at their beck and call; who believe everyone, especially women, owes them; who accept everything they ordinarily reject, when its expedient to do so; who despite their age are spoiled children who scream, cry and throw temper tantrums in the streets and on social media when they don’t get their way; who despite calling themselves “Democrats” are in reality supporters of a “One-Party-Democracy” in the tradition of communism. Who think another term for Media and Journalism is “lapdogs for the left” and are shocked when this doesn’t happen to be the case for once. Who think Russia has some kind of obligation to be nice to the candidate that is seeking war with them. Who blame others for doing – and being – exactly what they wanted them to be, if it ends up blowing in their faces. Continue Reading
Anarchist Notebook explains why narcissists despise libertarianism and love the state. Narcissism is of course a deep pathological insecurity masked by an deeply arrogant face and pretense of self-assuredness.
This deep pathological insecurity would render narcissists virtually defenseless in a society where the state cannot help them at the expense of those who have more, are more successful, richer, more talented, stronger, better or more intelligent. The notion that their own shortcomings would be brutally exposed in a free society, where people around them are not forced to cater to them and their views, has them tremble in fear.
