If this is not proof of how utterly useless and beyond repair the Libertarian Party is from the standpoint of real libertarianism, i don’t know what is.
By now it should not come as a shock that the Libertarian Party is like fly paper for all sorts of infiltrator ideologues from both the left and the right, as well as political opportunists. Yet somehow it continues to elicit surprise, even from me.
Yes that’s right, white-knighting, politically correct, gender-feminist hippie. You don’t have a right to that hair style because that hair style belongs to people of color. Such micro-aggressiveness.
Leftist lunatics getting into a pushing and pulling match over dread locks.I suspect dozens of people will be hiding in their safe spaces tonight.
Where’s the pop corn?
Austin Petersen is a presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party. I have not yet put him to the libertarian test. Maybe i should speed that up since i now have an article involving him.
This article does not really have much to state about Austin Petersen’s political views, aside from bringing attention to the fact that Mr. Petersen seems to be awfully annoyed by the thought crime of political incorrectness. Does one of the presidential candidates for the LP have nothing better to concern himself with than making snarky screeds about right-wing people saying or writing things considered offensive by the commissars of good taste? Cultural Marxism expresses itself as dividing society into two camps: the oppressing class, and the oppressed class. The oppressing class, according to cultural Marxists, consists always of Western, white, rich or privileged, heterosexual, able-bodied men. Being Christian will not help you. If you recognize yourself as fitting the above description, forget about ever being considered a victim of one or the other social ill. You are most likely considered a sexist, homophobe, racist and privileged person, at the very least at a subconscious level.
Hollywood can be repugnantly politically correct. It is most certainly overwhelmingly progressive (and statist). Nobody with any credibility could still claim otherwise. Name a typical progressive cause and you can count on many Hollywood stars to climb on their soapboxes and express either support for said cause or vehement criticism for anything that impedes it.
It is actually quite rare, especially from high level Hollywood people, to bust right through the politically correct culture not merely with acts or behavior that indicates liberal hypocrisy (such as liberal Alec Baldwin calling his own daughter a “piggy”), but with words, and in so doing show that they are not as brainwashed as most others in their field. And in a time, when people can be at least to a degree “blacklisted” for not being properly progressive (blacklisted by the kinds of people that have wailed about the 50s era McCarthyism, ironically enough), it is especially courageous if someone drops an un-PC bombs when they’re up for industry-wide acclaim.
Enter Charlotte Rampling, who had the temerity to suggest that if no black actors are currently nominated for an Academy Award, it may just be because they weren’t good enough. And furthermore, to suggest that there is a diversity deficit is racist to white people. To claim that there is such a thing as racism to white people, is itself unheard of among staunch progressives, who think racism was born from only white people, and is practiced only by white people. From a libertarian perspective, the truth needs to be said, not only about the true nature of many cops and their behavior, and the threat they pose to liberty-minded people, but also when the cops are perhaps not entirely to blame and are just being used to further a progressive agenda fueled by racial and gender collectivism and political correctness.
What i like about Christopher Cantwell is that he can always be counted upon to whistle to his own tune, to cut through the PC bullshit even when it flies thick and hard among libertarians, and to be blunt yet honest about everyday events. Something that has had him banned from “respectable” libertarian events (if you want to call them that) and made him persona non grata for a number of ‘reasonable’ libertarians like off-and-on-again SJW Jeffrey Tucker. But also for confused, otherwise less ‘reasonable’ libertarians like Larken Rose.
Christopher Cantwell is a current example of what i admire the most, a true libertarian that nevertheless is also a pure individualist; someone that doesn’t pay worship-like respect to “names” within libertarian circles. Someone that doesn’t play nice for the sake of being ‘inclusive’ or for ‘strategic’ reasons, or looks past flaws just because someone is otherwise so strong and perhaps needed for the libertarian movement.
Cantwell is especially vitriolic and antagonistic toward law enforcement in general, so when he of all people feels that someone may only have herself to blame for her fate, it can be taken a lot more seriously than if it were to come from cop-respecting individuals.
So what does he have to say about cops, about Sandra Bland, about social justice warriors, about oppression by white males in today’s society, about #BlackLivesMatter and other intertwined issues? Read it here.
