How early is too early, when it comes to bothering young children with cultural marxism and the self-loathing of their own culture? How young is too young when it comes to pester them, indoctrinate them and condition them with views on race and to politicize them? Is there a bottom limit as far as age is concerned, when it comes to telling children about the ugliness and political conflicts of the adult world? As far as a coming preschool in Seattle is concerned: there is no such thing as too young.
It is beyond the capacity of progressives to leave innocent children alone, as has been proven by Women’s March protestors who brought their kids along to use them as pawns. Progressives also would really like to extend the time that children spend wasting away in prison camps for children called school. Certainly it is important for students to start learning about the various aspects of life at some point, but this can be seen as no more than a blatant attempt to get there quick and shape the minds of the young according to what is quite clearly progressive ideology. The formative years when it comes to the psyche and personality of children is when they pick up the most information and learn the most. What better age then, to stuff children full of social justice warrior curriculum they would ordinarily have no experience with in their lives?
If this does not prove that compulsory education is meant, and used, by government and by bureaucrats to thoroughly brainwash children into the desired conformist little automatons, i don’t know what does.
The school will teach a curriculum that endeavors “to change biases” through stories of race and racism.
Because, of course, toddlers are always so full of racism and prejudice.
“We’re looking to create the confidence,” teacher Benjamin Gore added, “that when these kids go into predominantly white schools that don’t highlight counter-narratives, that they bring that to the school.”
Counter-narratives, you see, because “white” is bad. Everybody knows that, right? It’s not enough if a school isn’t racist; the fact that it may be predominantly white is bad enough.
“I like the idea,” parent Taryn Coe said, “of these kids being exposed to role models that don’t look like them…there’s a lot of Disney princess culture that happens in our house.”
The horror… the horror… Children that adopt temporary fantasies of being princesses. That is so outrageously oppressive and patriarchical and racist and sexist and fascist. Perish the thought they do not learn about racial bias, prejudice, cultural appropriation, bigotry and other such topics at a timely and early fashion.
“They see white princesses and think, ‘I want to be like that,’” Ms. Coe continued, “and I think it’s really important that they see there are so many other ways you can accomplish other than just being a white princess.”
Yeah, it’s really, really important for preschool children to learn about their progressive adult’s obsessions with race, social justice, diversity and other ideological hang-ups. Because up to now, young white girls grew into adulthood believing that being a white princess was the only way to succeed in life. Just look at all those high school and college aged girls still playing with their barbie dolls. Exactly what other ways than being a white princess is there, by the way? Single mothers on welfare, perhaps? Becoming thoroughly corrupt and immoral politicians that would walk on corpses to get what they want? Becoming a totally leftism-obsessed, shrill harpy whose entire life consists of emotional outbursts about the injustices of life, and not knowing the meaning of the words “fun” and “joy”?
Make no mistake; this is just an attempt for the cultural marxist Skinner-adepts to get them early, before they start forming more independent personality traits and can still escape the clutches of conditioning and social engineering. There is still way too much independence in the mindset of the average student, and it needs to be put a stop to. Nothing short of total mind shaping will suffice. The so-called “faith-based” nature of this preschool is a joke. Cultural marxists have marched through the institutions for decades, and religion is just one such institution. There is no “free will” for those who have learned no different than to accept conformity to the ideas of the adults in their lives.
This is revolution through schooling.
In another wonderful example of how school is meant to properly educate your children, rather than be an indoctrination camp for instilling the “proper” progressive social values, there is this:
If one is looking for a reason why the nomination of Betsy De Vos for secretary of education was fought tooth and nail by progressives defending an indefensible status quo, look no further than New York. The state Board of Regents aims to deep-six a literacy test for those applying to teach in public schools. In addition, they will allow applicants who “barely fail” a performance test to be certified, based on other “mitigating factors” that include teacher recommendations and grade point averages. Why? Because an insufficient percentage of minority candidates passed the tests in previous years.
Currently prospective teachers are expected to pass four exams, including the Academic Literacy Skills Test (ALST) and the edTPA, a test that requires teachers to videotape their lessons. Both of the tests were added as part of the hiring requirements during an overhaul that began in 2009. At that time, the Board of Regents reasoned that more rigorous qualification standards, especially those focused on literacy and classroom performance, would ensure students better levels of education.
Times have changed. Such ambitions will be swept aside by those who believe a commitment “diversity” is more important than hiring teachers who can actually read.
Schools are political indoctrination camps; not education facilities.
