After pushing the Fake News that Russia ‘hacked’ the DNC and influenced the outcome of the elections, the Washington Post, one of many MSM outlets decrying “fake news” coming out of the internet, is back to once again pushing its own Fake News.
The Russians are at it again. According to this rag and their usual ~Unnamed “senior administration officials”~ (which we must now regard as indicator number 1 of a story being fake news until solid evidence turns up of its veracity) Russians how now allegedly “hacked” the state of Vermont’s electric grid system.
The preposterousness of this “news” is underlined by the so-called “fact” that the target was Vermont. Ver-what? Why the hell would anyone, much less the Russians, choose such an irrelevant state as Vermont for their nefarious purposes? Why not California, New York State or Texas? Ask any foreigner to name an American state, and Vermont is likely to be in the bottom 10 of states mentioned, probably scoring below Rhode Island. See the pathetic arrogance of the governor of Vermont in believing, even after it has been disproven, that his state was the target of Vladimir Putin.
The hysteria would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn’t so dangerous.
