Just in case some may wonder why libertarians such as myself are so vehemently opposed to feminism as possibly evidenced by articles published here.
1: Feminism is supremely collectivistic in its supposed nature; it regards women in general as being part of a group with its own group interests, vis a vis the group “men” and the group interests of ”men”. Libertarians proper regard people as unique individuals and as such represents the interests of individuals against any imposition from groups or group interests. Politically and legally speaking, Individualists judge individuals on their merits; not on their gender. Because feminists aspire to milk differences between the sexes politically and legally, they are sex baiters who do nothing but create greater schisms between the sexes.
2: Feminism, regardless of some deluded souls believing otherwise, is not about ”equality” of the sexes. It does not aim for equality before the law. There is a large abundance of evidence from words, actions or deliberate omissions of such that it aims for advantages for women as opposed to men (think about affirmative action for instance, or pregnancy leave while simultaneously demanding equal pay). It is also evidenced by the virtually complete lack of outrage at non-Western patriarchical societies and generally most or all non-Western violence toward women or oppression of women, all of which are much much worse than whatever can be found in the West. A “rape culture” truly exists in several Middle Eastern countries, but not in the West where rape is justifiably condemned both morally and legally in the harshest terms. Feminism in practice comes down to misandry. Covertly, it is a specialized branch of cultural marxism, which for obvious reasons has absolutely nothing to do with libertarianism.
